When discussing communication, Auditor General Randall L. Exley explains that how a person communicates (i.e., what channels he or she uses) is just as important as the message. He also feels that receiving feedback is often more important than sending a message. Knowing your receivers and establishing a relationship with them is vital (Skidmore-Williams, 2013).
What do you think about Exley’s ideas about communication? Do you agree that it is more about listening than talking? Is audience analysis as important of a concept as he believes it to be? Explain.

I NEED TO RESPOND TO A CLASSMATETHIS IS WHAT THEY WROTE:
I believe his idea is dead on. If your message is poorly communicated the meaning of your message could be lost. If your message is not fully understood the team will not be able to do or accomplish the task you are trying to get them to do or understand. The audience analysis is very important this allows you the feedback necessary for you to feel confident that your message was received properly and that your vision and goals are on the track for greatness.

I NEED TO RESPOND TO MY CLASSMATES RESPONSE THIS IS WHAT THEY WROTE:
Culling is some circumstances is necessary and vital for the survival of a species or preserving a natural habitat. Culling when used for controlling disease in an animal population such as stopping the spread of tuberculosis from migrating from species to another is necessary for the survival of that particular species as well as other species. Culling or thinning of the herd may be deemed necessary, take deer for example in some areas the deer population sky rockets every year, which causes problems in certain areas. Virginia is a state that partakes in the culling of deer in certain areas, they cause major issues within housing developments and traffic. There is a catch 22 situation with that since humans did build on what was once wooded areas and home to the deer. Culling when used for animal population control is not a bad thing, do I like it no but it is necessary. I don’t think that there is ever a time that is appropriate for culling of a species. If I had to pick an appropriate time it would be before a situation got out of control, but with monitoring population spikes within species groups would help in determining appropriate times to cull a herd.

Forests cover about 30% of the Earth’s land area and provide an enormous quantity of products and services. Discuss at least two benefits that humans derive from forests. How are these benefits affected by forest fragmentation? Do you think humans also lose an important habitat, as natural lands are lost to development? Please feel free to do some independent research. For some insight, please see the video below on forest fragmentation in the rainforests of South America (click cc on the bottom right of the video to enable closed captioning).

Dove has continued its social media public relations (PR) campaign on beauty and self-esteem. In 2014, Meaghan Ramsey presented “Why Thinking You’re Ugly is Bad for You” at a TED Talks event.
In the TED Talk presentation, Ramsey does not mention Dove. Without focusing on the organization in the speech, why would this be a good PR event for Dove? What does it achieve for the organization? Why do you think Ramsey, who is the Global Director of the Dove Self-Esteem Project, chose this way to communicate with Dove’s customers (and potential customers)? What are the advantages? What are the disadvantages?
