research plan and likely to enhance your ideas and thinking about the topic.

An annotation should be short but comprehensive. It should include a description that tell
us about the author’s argument and reasoning. It should tell us the author’s evidence and
method. It should say something evaluative about the source. And, it should say a little
about how your research would benefit from the source. Essentially, the annotations should
help you situate your research in the larger literature about the topic you’re writing about.
