HLTH 3510 Walden Claims Processing Error Detection and Correction Case Analysis HLTH 3510: Health Insurance and Reimbursement ( need this by 4-17-20)
Assignment: Claims Processing Case Study Analysis Correct claims processing is vital to the financial security of a healthcare facility.
Errors in processing claims can lead to denial, underpayment, or overpayment of services rendered. All of these can have an immediate or future negative impact on healthcare providers and suppliers. We can see this happening in the example of Mosaic Internal Medicine in this week’s Introduction.
There are many rules and regulations that make claims processing complex and susceptible to error. In this Assignment, you examine a case study involving claims processing for services covered by Medicare. You will propose a plan of action that outlines how claims processing can be improved between Medicare contractors and healthcare organizations to avoid future claim errors.
To prepare for this Assignment: Read the document, “Case 3: Claims Processing,” found in this week’s Learning Resources. Consider how data shown on healthcare claims are used when issuing payment for services rendered. Imagine you are in the role of executive for Wisconsin Physician Service (WPS) Insurance Corporation. The Assignment (2- to 3-page paper):
After reading the case study thoroughly from the perspective of the executive, respond to the following: Propose a plan of action to the Board of Directors outlining a response to the Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
Recommend at least one suggestion for how the process between WPS and CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) could be improved. Provide specific examples in your paper. Support your post with at least two outside scholarly source.
i have attached the case study that you will need . You can use external sources too. Marginalized Groups in the U.S. Education System
Length: 5-6 pages

Due Date: Friday, May 22nd, at midnight
In this unit, you read about a couple of key issues in education today that negatively affect
specific groups of students. These issues all tie back to stereotypes teachers, administrators, other
students, and society at large hold about a particular group. We will zoom in on two issues, one
facing black youth and one facing Asian students, that have both gained national attention over
the last several years. However, you are able to choose from a longer list of groups/topics to
write your paper on (see below).
You will be responding to the following question in your research paper:
How have stereotypes about this group of students created obstacles in their education and life
and what efforts have been made to address the issue?
To answer the question above, please pick ONE group to focus on from the list below and
consider zooming in on a particular age group if relevant (high school, college, etc.):

In your research paper, make sure to do the following:
● Introduction: Open creatively and provide an overview of the issue at hand. In this
section, you might introduce and summarize one of the texts you will most rely on in
your paper or one that helps introduce background on the issue.
● Thesis: Create an original and argumentative thesis that fulfills the “5 Qualities of a
Strong Thesis” and answers the prompt question.
● Body paragraphs: Deliver your supporting points in organized, well-developed
paragraphs. Integrate at least 5-6 credible sources to support your claims. You must
incorporate ONE scholarly article from an academic journal; you can find one using
the library database. Don’t forget, even though they don’t count toward the 5-6 sources, I
encourage you to include your own personal experiences in school as evidence!
● Include a counterargument or alternative perspective. How could someone challenge
or complicate this issue? What are other perspectives on the topic? Do you have any
critiques of the way people and organizations have already responded to this issue?
● Conclusion: Remind readers of your major points, and offer original insights on the
importance of your paper and/or the topic at hand. Motivate the reader to continue caring
about and thinking about your topic. Close creatively.

and texts.

effectively comment on quotations and paraphrases, explaining their significance and

connections between sources and incorporate more than one source per paragraph to
support your claims.
Presentation: Edit your paper thoroughly so that sentences are readable and appropriate
for an academic audience. Use proper MLA format, 8th edition, and include a Works
